Who Is It?

I love this song and I love Björk
I think she is an amazingly talented artist.  Even if you don't agree with me on her talent, you have to admit, she is pretty creative and definitely unique.  This video is great!  This song is off of her 2004 album Medúlla.  I recomend you purchase it if you haven't already.  Such amazing sounds and a unique voice, I can't help but be inspired by her.  I love listening to Björk while I paint.  Enjoy!

New Drawing/Watercolor

I found some free time the other day to let a little creativity out.  With the changing of seasons I feel this overwhelming need to make some sort of art!  The warm air, green leaves, blooming flowers, everything is a painting or photography subject for me!  I get a lot of ideas while driving, then I get home and I've lost it all.

Anyways, the quality of these pics is not the greatest but I just wanted to share and get an opinion or two maybe.  It just felt good to sit down and create something, it probably could have been stick figures and it would have had the same "art therapy" effect on me.  Enjoy!

Grand Trunk Trail

My boyfriend and I finally went for our first ride of the year on our mountain bikes.  We decided to go with a new trail we noticed from the main road, but didn't know much about it.  It's called the Grand Trunk Trail in Brimfield, MA.  It was a partly cloudy, but just sunny enough day and I found it to be very nice and inspirational for some photography and painting.  I took a few pictures with my camera phone at spots that I like and I plan to go back sometime soon to do some actual pieces.  Enjoy my pictures!  I took a few with different features on my phone.
If you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out for walking or biking!

Heather Haymart

An artist that describes her work as abstract, contemporary, fine art, Heather Haymart is a St. Louis Artist that uses great colors and textures.  I came across her work via a website that sells a product used for faux surface textures on furniture.  It's called Wood Icing and it creates interesting textures on many surfaces.  I was very excited to see that it can also be used for fine art.  I'm definitely going to invest in some, which won't break the bank to much.  A quart of the Wood Icing costs about $20.  Check out the pieces Haymart was able to create with it!

Sand Serif

I love this!  Enjoy!
I'm not really a big fan of this kind of stock painting from websites like this, but I like the idea of transitioning from black and white to a single color over a triptych(you probably heard me mention on another post that triptych's are my favorite).  Just something to think about for my next painting!
Hmmmm...

This is the coolest motorcycle I've ever seen!

Mameshiba

A very random cartoon that my boyfriend came across this morning.  I was cracking up!  I'd add a description here, but there really isn't much to say.  It's call Mameshiba. Just watch, enjoy, and don't take it too seriously!  They also have cute keychains and plush toys available at Hot Topic.
